Highlights included the Homecoming Golf Tournament, a Chapel Choir reunion, a series of spirited alumni gatherings and the annual alumni dinner, which was held at the Embassy Suites Hotel. A special salute goes out to our Alumni Service Award winners and to the Athletic Hall of Fame Award recipients: Distinguished Alumni Service Award - Dianne Jeter Shumaker ‘66 and Jack DeWees ‘72; John F. Truex Lifetime Alumni Service Award - Harland Ginn ‘48; Athletic Hall of Fame Awards - Ralph Kincaid ‘60, Dick Cox ‘62, Ann Settlage Simpson ‘79, Jim Talley ‘79, and the 1973 football team.
