15th Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament -- Who will win a Harley?

This field is set for the 15th Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament, sponsored by Educational Funding Services, Inc. (EFSI). And this year, someone may even win a Harley!

The year's tournament will be held at Claycrest Golf Club in Liberty on Friday, October 28 with proceeds benefiting William Jewell Athletics. With 34 teams and over 130 participants, this year's tournament is the largest in recent years. A day of fun on the golf course is sure to be had by all, with contests beginning at 8:00 am and a 9:00 am shotgun start that includes a variety of on-course contests. Each golfer will receive a gift bag that includes an exclusive WJC wearable among other goodies, and the tournament will close with a barbeque lunch provided by Hy-Vee of Liberty.

A highlight of this year's tournament is sure to be the hole-in-one contest. Blue Springs Harley-Davidson will award a fabulous V-Rod motorcycle, valued at $18,000, to the first player who sinks a hole-in-one on hole #4 during play!

If you or your organization is interested in gaining further exposure while supporting WJC athletics, contact Joyce Hon at 816-415-7576 and mention that you are interested in supporting the tournament next year.

Celebrate Greek Life at WJC by experiencing the past, present, and future.

The Past and the Present: Tour of former and current Fraternity Houses -- 8:00 am-11:00 am (tour starts at the Hospitality Tent, located at the former Regent's Quad/Married Student Apartments site at R.E. Bowles Drive and Doniphan Street)

Take part in a tour of the former off-campus fraternity homes where the men of Kappa Alpha Order, Lambda Chi Alpha, Phi Gamma Delta, and Sigma Nu spent many years prior to having on-campus fraternity homes. The current homeowners have graciously opened their homes to William Jewell College alumni for this one-time-only event. The opportunity to visit and tour these private homes will likely not occur again, so plan to take part in this chance to see the venues of many fond memories. Shuttle buses begin departing campus from the Hospitality Tent at 8:00 am, with a return to campus via the current fraternity homes. All tours end at the Hospitality Tent, and will return in time for the Sorority Complex and Greek Common site dedication at 11:30 am.

The Future: Sorority Complex and Greek Common Site Dedication--11:30 am
Join in the celebration as we dedicate the site for the future Sorority Complex and Greek Common. Hear Dr. David Sallee discuss plans for a new Sorority Complex and Greek Common to be built on the site of the former Regent's Quad/Married Student Apartments. Join us at 11:30 am in the Hospitality Tent located at this site to learn more about the future center for Greek life on campus and the home for our four sororities. See renderings of what this complex will look like, and catch up with old friends. We look forward to seeing you there!
