Office of Admission Implements New Student Referral System; Jewell "CARDS" Make Impact with Student Recruitment
Office of Admission Seeks Referrals from Alumni

Recent research completed by Noel-Levitz, a higher education consulting firm, indicates that approximately 66% of students who matriculated at private, liberals arts colleges were referred to that institution by someone that they had a close relationship with. This is powerful information.

Current William Jewell College students share anecdotal stories about how they ended up matriculating at Jewell. Those stories have often emphasized the fact that they applied and decided to come to Jewell because of a referral from someone that they knew: a relative, friend of the family, high school coach, pastor, and/or high school teacher/counselor. This list could go on and on.

Currently, the Office of Admission is trying to harness the power of the referral through the development and implementation of an on-line referral tool which makes it quick and easy for a variety of constituencies to send prospective student information directly to the College and receive reports back from the College on the student's status in the application process.

This new tool is now available to all William Jewell College alumni. If you know of a prospective student who should consider William Jewell College, the Office of Admission would like to make contact with the student to assist with the college search process and encourage a visit to campus.

When you refer a student to the College, you have the potential to set that student on a course for a life-changing experience; an experience of expansive learning and opportunity that is distinctly Jewell.

The Office of Admission thanks you for your continued support. And we look forward to showing many more students, all about William Jewell College, thanks to your referrals.
