Senior Giving Campaign
Raises Money and Awareness
The Class of 2006's Senior Giving
Campaign slogan was "Complete
the Circle" and was, for many,
an education into the philanthropic
process, beginning a personal commitment
to give to their alma mater.
A steering committee comprised of
twenty members of the senior class
constructed a multi-level giving club:
Club 90, pledging $2.50/month for
3 years; Club 180, pledging $5.00/month
for 3 years; |
|
and Club 360, pledging $10.00/month for
3 years.
In what may become the boldest initiative since the Senior Giving Campaign began in 2003, many members of the class committed to pledge a gift to the College for multiple years. Despite the unknowns of their future finances, nearly 25 percent of the class of 2006 pledged over $15,000 over the next three years as a symbol of their pride and support in Jewell's future.
Those members of the class who contributed to the campaign celebrated with a party on April 23. A facsimile check indicating the total pledged by the class was presented to Dr. Sallee during commencement ceremonies.
