BURKINA
FASO
Providing medical care is one of the most effective
ways to share Christ with people in this desperately
poor nation of West Africa. With your help, more
men, women, and children are receiving this care-and
learning about God's love!
Your support of SIM is helping provide committed
health care workers in Burkina Faso with training
in government schools so they can meet many basic
health needs. Our Nurses Training Program equips
its graduates to perform basic services that doctors
perform here in the West.
Many people in Burkina Faso have no access to medical
attention of any kind. In the areas where our three
SIM medical centers are located, there is only one
doctor for every 50,000 people. Given the extent
of this need, these SIM-sponsored nurses truly offer
a lifesaving ministry to their people.

train these nurses, who could never afford to attend the
required three-year medical training program on their
own. In addition to their medical duties, these nurses
are also committed to sharing the love of Christ in a
very tangible way.
The gifts of you and other SIM partners help pay for the
medical training and also allow us to keep medical care
affordable to the poor. The spiritual and physical needs
in Burkina Faso are tremendous, which is why SIM prayerfully
seeks your continued commitment to the training of national
nurses like Dina.
Dina is in her second year of nurses' training as part of this program. She finished her first year as one of the top 10 students in the class, even though the class work and family pressures were strong at times.
Dina says,"The Lord has faithfully held me up, and
my husband is very supportive." She is also grateful
for the support of our SIM ministry partners-and so are
we! Thank you for standing with us to reach the people
of Burkina Faso.
