Whenever I consider the breadth and diversity of SIM's programs, I am reminded of Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 9:22: "I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some."
Even in this issue of Harvest, you can see how SIM is committed to using all possible means to share the gospel.

Located within the grounds of the Duncan hospital on the Indian/Nepal border, Duncan Academy is more than just a school. It's a ministry center where the lives of children and even whole communities are touched by the life-giving hope of Christ.
Even though Duncan Academy is located in a predominantly Hindu community, parents want their children to have the quality education that |
| Regardless of caste, religion, or family situation, Duncan Academy welcomes all children and embraces them with the love of Christ. |
|
Duncan provides. And thanks to the generous support of friends like you, scholarships allow more than 85 children to attend this Christian school regardless of their caste, religion, or economic status. In addition, Duncan's hostel program provides food, lodging, and care for more than 50 neglected and orphaned children.
Kanaya Kumar is one of those children. His father passed away from AIDS in 2006--the same year his mother learned she was HIV-infected. Despite her own deteriorating health, Kanaya's mother worked on a farm to provide for Kanaya and his younger sister, but even what little the family had was lost as his mother's condition worsened.
When Duncan Academy learned of this family's tragedy, they happily admitted Kanaya to the school and hostel. His sister will come to the hostel after their mother dies.
Like so many poor or disadvantaged children in India, Kanaya and his sister would have had no hope for the future without the care and education they will receive from Duncan Academy.
But now, as Kanaya learns, he also dreams of the future. Thanks to your support, this very intelligent boy hopes to become a doctor. He wants to give back to the community that gave him hope in his time of need.
