But there is another--and equally important--reason for this publication. It's to help you pray more effectively for the people and ministries of SIM.
There is no weapon more powerful for advancing the gospel, nor any defense so sure against the attacks of the devil, than prayer.

When you scatter the seeds of the gospel by sending it across radio waves, you never know how far the message will reach or how many lives it will touch--until someone comes to thank you.
Such was the case with our Guarani radio ministry in Paraguay. As SIM missionary Christie Reich was preparing to leave her home, she heard a knock on her door. Seeing an unfamiliar woman there, Christie immediately assumed she wanted
money, food, or maybe help for a sick child. As Christie spoke to her, however, she learned that this young mother named Maria had traveled for four hours simply to say thank you for the Guarani radio ministry!
She asked for nothing other than prayer. "I am the |

only Christian in my village. I’d just like you to pray for strength for me, as it’s hard to be ridiculed by everybody else. Pray that my faith would stay strong, and that I’ll be a good witness."

Months later, Maria returned with her husband. That day Christie had the honor of reaping the seed that had been sown by the radio program. Maria’s husband, Reinaldo, prayed to ask Jesus to forgive his sins and come into his heart.
Every day we praise God for how He is using your gifts to bring rural Paraguayans to Himself and to help them grow spiritually. Through changed lives like Maria’s and Reinaldo’s, we know that the Guarani radio project is one of the most effective evangelistic tools we have. Thank you for your support! |
