CHARLOTTE The SIM family is praising the Lord for our ministry partners' wonderful response to a recent mailing that shared a very serious need in our SIM Medical Care fund. This fund suffered a severe financial shortfall as our missionary family suffered an unusually large number of medical emergencies and major illnesses this year. The Lord has enabled SIM to be self-insured for many years, and our medical program plays a key role in our ability to provide for the health care needs of our missionaries and their

families. Mission director Steve Strauss shared this urgent situation in his letter. He noted that these medical crises, combined with the inevitable increases in health care costs, pushed our 2005 medical care budget 41 percent over last year's costs. This mailing went out bathed in much prayer, and you gave from your heart. The response was one of the largest SIM has ever had to a ned in our mission. The result is that $320,000 of the total deficit of $906,000 has been met. We are deeply grateful for this answer to prayer and urge you to continue praying that the remainder of this shortfall in the SIM Medical Care fund will be met. Our God is abundantly able!
