Delta Delta (Penn State) Dances Their Way to $6.5 Million

This year, the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Annual Dance Marathon (THON) raised over $6.5 million dollars toward conquering childhood cancer. The Delta Delta chapter at Penn State raised over 15 thousand dollars toward this great cause.

After months of the chapter canning in the streets and going door to door for
monetary pledges, Brothers Aviel Braustein (Penn State) and Pat Thompson (Penn State) danced for 46 hours straight in the campus-based charity marathon. When asked about the event, Braustein and Thompson both stated this was one of the most rewarding accomplishments they have achieved in their lives so far.

All of the proceeds from THON go to The Four Diamonds Fund at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The funds raised go directly toward helping the families of children afflicted with cancer by paying for any costs associated with their child's treatment.
