Atlanta Alumni Host First National Recruitment Day
The purpose of the National Recruitment Day is to identify, with the help of local alumni and collegiate members, high-caliber high school seniors who will attend college the next fall and invite them to an event where they will meet Sigma Nus from various campuses across the country and get better acquainted with Sigma Nu. |

The Atlanta National Recruitment Day drew attendance of young men not only going to area schools such as Auburn University, the University of Alabama, Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia, but prospects who are headed to the University of Kentucky, Clemson University, the University of South Carolina, LSU, University of Michigan, Rhodes College, and the University of Virginia. Each of these young men will arrive on campus already knowing of Sigma Nu's strong national presence.
“We were very pleased with the results of our first Recruitment Day,” said event organizer Michael Barry, an alumnus of the Mu Chapter at the University of Georgia. "This is a great example of how alumni and collegiate Brothers can come together to do great things for Sigma Nu," Barry added. “We expect the Atlanta event to grow every year and expect to see alumni in many other cities recognize the value of this kind of program. It’s a great way to give back to our Fraternity.”
“I have no doubt that in the coming years we will be amazed by the results in terms of quantity and quality of new men we are able to recruit through this new program,” stated Lee Perrett, alumnus of the Beta Theta Chapter at Auburn University. “This was such a worthwhile event to bring my son and his high school classmates to. They had a great time.”
National Recruitment Day: On the Horizon
Sigma Nu’s National Recruitment Days are poised to have a dramatic impact on our Fraternity. In the coming years, we plan to expand National Recruitment Days to other major metropolitan areas to allow thousands of graduating high school seniors to learn more about Sigma Nu Fraternity on an annual basis. As the National Recruitment Day program expands, more and more high school seniors across the country will learn about Sigma Nu every year, before they even pack their bags for college.
