Transitioning from Campus Life to the
Real World
Earlier this year, the Sigma Nu Educational
Foundation launched Transitions,
an online newsletter designed for soon-to-be
and recent graduates. James Owens, Executive
Vice President said, "Transitions
is a series of 24 monthly newsletters which
will offer articles to |
|
help our 20-something brothers navigate between
college life and the real world. This is an important
and often difficult time for many graduates. This
is the time when many will move from being the
BMOC (Big Man On Campus) to the low man on the
totem pole."
Transitions will offer information to help our brothers be better prepared to handle the pressures and answer the questions of adulthood. The articles will offer general advice on matters from obtaining property and life insurance, getting and decorating a new bachelor pad, buying a car, the importance of long-term investing, etc. Likewise, there will be business related articles (dressing for success, getting the interview, planning early for retirement, etc.).
Brother Owens noted, "In our Ritual and teachings, we say that Sigma Nu is for life.
Transitions is another way for our Fraternity to help our brothers achieve their personal and professional dreams."
