Bid for Brotherhood. . . UPDATE

As first reported in the December issue of the Foundation News Briefs the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation will host its inaugural Bid for Brotherhood (B4B) live and silent auction benefiting the programs of the Fraternity. This
event will be held on July 14, 2006, in conjunction with the 62nd Grand Chapter in Indianapolis, Indiana. Here is a sampling of items being offered for bid:
Numerous items autographed by NASCAR driver and 2005 Nextel Cup Champion, Tony Stewart.
Two (2) VIP tickets to a Dave Matthews Band (DMB) concert of your choosing. The winner and a friend will be the guests of Boyd Tinsley (Virginia) violinist for DMB at the show.
A weekend stay at Londer Vineyards which includes a mixed case of Londer wines.
5 nights lodging at the Manhattan Club in a luxury condominium.
Tickets to the Heartland Film Festival.

There will be an online auction site available 45-60 days prior to the live event for alumni and members to view and bid on items via the web. So, you don't have to make it to Grand Chapter to be part of B4B!

Chapters and alumni are encouraged to support this event. Ideal donations include: frequent flyer miles / points, vacation rentals, sporting event tickets and autographed memorabilia. Click here for a complete list of additional auction item suggestions.

Alumni who own a business can have their contributed items linked to their company's website. Also, sponsors will be listed on the auction website (with links to businesses) as well as included in the printed materials at the actual event.

All donations are tax-deductible to the declared value of the item. Those interested in donating a service, trip or other item in support of the Bid for Brotherhood should contact James Owens.

If you have plans to attend the 62nd Grand Chapter (Indianapolis, Indiana from July 15-19, 2006), make sure you arrive by the 14th so that you can attend B4B. For those who cannot make Grand Chapter, we'll continue to provide updates so that you can bid via the online auction site!
