Not to Toot Our Own Horn, but. . .

"I really enjoy getting The Promise in my inbox! It adds a little bit of 'light' to the course of my busy day at work. Thank you for taking the time to put it together. Keep it coming!"

One year ago this month, Phi Mu Foundation introduced this electronic newsletter, The Promise, for young alumnae. The Foundation's idea was to distribute four trial e-newsletters bi-monthly to determine if an e-newsletter would meet the needs of our young alumnae. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive!

So, the Foundation Board of Trustees voted to continue distributing The Promise on a bi-monthly basis in an effort to provide relevant life skills, Foundation and

Fraternity information to the young alumnae membership. And, because of the success of The Promise, the Foundation is currently testing a similar newsletter for the rest of the alumnae membership.

We've had good feedback from our Promise readers, such as that from Kimberly Sherman, Delta Phi, who likes the bi-monthly frequency and the user-friendly format. We're getting good article ideas and feature alumna submissions from our readers as well. For example, Sarah Jacobs, Alpha Epsilon, nominated her chapter Sister Stephanie McCormack, who we featured in the September 2004 issue.

Phi Mu Foundation is proud to bring you this newsletter. We hope you agree with Cynthia Bland, Gamma Delta, who thinks the e-newsletter is a great way to keep in touch with Phi Mu. We love hearing from you, especially regarding how we can make the newsletter better fit your needs. So, send us a note to let us know how we can continue to improve The Promise.
