She
Can Teach You a Thing or Two
Dr. Nancy Boyll, Alpha Omicron, spent sixteen years
of her career serving in public education. But, in 1990,
this University of Southern Mississippi graduate decided
to become an entrepreneur, starting her own educational
company. That company, New Learning Resources Inc., extended
into New Summit School Services, an accredited, non-traditional
K-12 school for students with exceptional learning needs.
Nancy is reaching out to people through training, teaching
and positive opportunities.
Her long-term career goal is to continue to serve people,
especially children. Along with her volunteer work, this
director of the Mississippi Community Education Center
is fulfilling that goal. A Jackson, Miss. native, Nancy
is focused on education, after-school programs, literacy,
and abstinence and community programs.
Now that she has completed her doctoral degree, Nancy
has even more free time to enjoy her hobbies. When she
isn't traveling the state of Mississippi for business,
Nancy may be found spending time with her husband and
two grown sons. She also remains active in the Jackson
Alumnae Chapter of Phi Mu.
As a former collegiate chapter president and chapter consultant,
Nancy truly understands the impact that Phi Mu can have
on young women. "As a young college student, I was
searching for my own way," she says. "Phi Mu
offered me many opportunities to grow as a leader. Those
leadership skills continue to be invaluable to me."
She encourages Phi Mu alumnae to continue to support Phi
Mu Fraternity and Phi Mu Foundation by staying involved.
"There are so many young Sisters who need our help.
We need to be their inspiration," Nancy says.
There's no doubt that Nancy is just such an inspiration to all she meets.

Boyll, Alpha Omicron, treasures her Phi
Mu collegiate memories. "There was always
work to be done, and we seemed to get it done
with lots of fun along the way," she shares.
Today, Nancy's hard work ethic has enabled her
to start her own educational school in Mississippi,
where she resides.
