Alumni Plan Oktoberfest in Munich

European Alumni Club aims for its first major event at the Bavarian celebration

Before Ernest August of Hannover united the Germanic tribes in 1505, regional clans laid down their arms and celebrated the peace with a fest! The largest of these celebrations was held each year in what is known as the thriving metropolis of Munich.

Indelibly this celebration endured for hundreds of years, growing to become the largest fest of its kind in the world. Oktoberfest as it is known today, sees visitors from across the globe joining together for this momentous occasion in September and early October.

This year Phi Kappa Tau's European Alumni Association hosts its inaugural Alumni gathering in Munich on the 23rd-26th of September. A draft itinerary will be available shortly. This promises to be an historic occasion for all involved. We have secured room for 50 brethren to enjoy the festivities in Munich with us. To do so you will need to make a deposit of EUR75 (about US$92.00) which will include the following benefits:

EAA Oktoberfest Stein
Entry to Events on Friday through Sunday
Your official Oktoberfest shirt
Food and Beverages at various events throughout the weekend

Accommodation and flights are additional to the cost mentioned above. However, we have secured a very favorable rate of EUR115 per night at a nice nearby hotel. This is based on a minimum two night stay. We are also in the process of negotiating with airlines to secure additional savings there.
