European Alumni Club aims for its first major event
at the Bavarian celebration
Before Ernest August of Hannover united the Germanic
tribes in 1505, regional clans laid down their arms
and celebrated the peace with a fest! The largest of
these celebrations was held each year in what is known
as the thriving metropolis of Munich.
Indelibly this celebration endured for hundreds of years,
growing to become the largest fest of its kind in the
world. Oktoberfest as it is known today, sees visitors
from across the globe joining together for this momentous
occasion in September and early October.
This year Phi Kappa Tau's European Alumni Association
hosts its inaugural Alumni gathering in Munich on the
23rd-26th of September. A draft itinerary will be available
shortly. This promises to be an historic occasion for
all involved. We have secured room for 50 brethren to
enjoy the festivities in Munich with us. To do so you
will need to make a deposit of EUR75 (about US$92.00)
