And the Awards go to. . .

It’s that time of the year again, when generous donations from Phi Psi alumni allow the Endowment Fund to award National Scholarships to deserving graduate and undergraduates Phi Psis all across the country. Each year, over $80,000 is available, and the number of applications for these awards increases every semester. This semester was one of the most competitive yet, and after the scholarship committee conference calls concluded, the winners were selected and awarded their checks.

The six winners of the Founders Fellowship Award for graduate studies are Peter Brock, Indiana Epsilon ‘03, Phillip Foster II, Arizona Beta ‘99, Matthew Lattman, Pennsylvania Iota ‘01, Brian Payton, Oklahoma Alpha ‘02, Harold Spooner, Indiana Zeta ‘04 and Michael Vogel, DC Alpha ‘03.

Winners of the two Ruddick Lawrence awards for service are Neil Leston, Rhode Island ‘04 and Michael Powers, Michigan Alpha ‘03.

The winner of the Ernest Garbe award for journalism is Christopher Hrabe, Missouri Alpha ‘04.

Matthew Lattman, Pennsylvania Iota ‘01 was also the winner of the William Walker award for business.

The Winston Tate award for business goes to Daniel Grier-Roddy, California Beta ‘03.

Douglass Gaking, Indiana Zeta ‘04, was awarded the Mary Pickford-Rogers award for performing arts.

The winner of the Phillip Cornelius award for financial need is Scott Rodseth, Indiana Epsilon ‘04.

Peter Oschwald, Indiana Epsilon ‘03, is the winner of the Ben King award for engineering.

The Endowment Fund wishes to congratulate all of the national scholarship winners for the 2005-2006 school year and encourage Phi Psis to apply for the fall 2006 awards by visiting the Foundation website.
