New Fellowships Offered

The Endowment Fund has added Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) and Futures Quest fellowships to its long list of scholarships and awards disbursed each year to graduate and undergraduate Phi Psis.

UIFI exists to "inspire and educate the current generation of fraternity and sorority leaders to become dedicated, courageous, and principled builders of the future."

UIFI participants will develop better leadership skills, increased confidence and will learn vital problem solving skills and conflict resolution tactics. Individual’s commitment to the Greek community will expand and intensify. "This is not an introductory experience - it is for those who
are ready to realize the potential of themselves and their fraternity."

Futures Quest is a retreat designed for new members of a fraternity who have joined within the past year. It is an intensive weekend-long experience that focuses on strengthening communication and leadership skills, identifying personal strengthens and weaknesses and making a commitment to fraternal ideals. Taking place outdoors in Central Indiana, a ropes course is the main ingredient in the "Quest" which symbolizes the leadership challenges fraternity members face during their undergraduate years.

The Endowment Fund will sponsor seven fellowships to both UIFI and Futures Quest in 2007. Applications are available via the Foundation's website. For additional information on both UIFI and Futures Quest, please visit the North American Interfraternity Conference’s (NIC) website and click on Educational Programs.
