Multi-Site Conference Offers Unique Viewpoints

The upcoming Multi-Site Church Conference (www.multi-site.org) in Chicago, IL, on October 24-25 promises to be a landmark event that will introduce hundreds of forward-thinking pastors to this exciting new way to "do church."

A joint effort of Leadership Network and three of the most successful multi-site churches in the country, the conference includes these featured presenters:

Dave Ferguson, founding pastor of Community Christian Church in Naperville, IL, a 16-year-old church with more than 4,500 in weekly attendance at eight different sites;
Larry Osborne, senior pastor of North Coast Church in Vista, CA, a 27-year old church that has been a leader in "video venue" strategies and currently has more than 5,800 in weekly attendance at five different sites;
Greg Surratt, founder and senior pastor of Seacoast Church in Charleston, SC, a 17-year-old church with more than 7,000 in weekly attendance at nine different sites in South Carolina and Georgia.

In the conference's general sessions, these three visionaries will tell their own very different stories and share what they have learned about successful multi-site ministry. Attendees will gain the practical tools needed to analyze whether multi-site is right for their churches--and, if so, how they can get started.

Externally-focused Churches Featured in Leadership Journal

The latest installment of Leadership Network's Innovation Series--Churches Team Up to 'Clothe A Child'--has been published in the quarterly Leadership Journal and is available at www.christianitytoday.com. The featured churches have joined their community the past few years to provide back-to-school clothes for needy kids; one of the churches in the article is part of Leadership Network's Externally Focused Churches Leadership Community.
