No Pain, No Gain

Much that has happened (or not happened) in my life has taught me that
a life without discipline is a life full of regret. Corrective training
for a goal, whether in school, sports or work, requires "sweat"
in one form or another. Many notable people have written about discipline:
The Apostle Paul when teaching of discipline as the path to holiness and godly living, referred to the examples of discipline in sports and work. Encouraging Timothy, Paul said, ". . . .train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come." (I Timothy 4:7-8 NIV) Goals are not attained by hoping or pretending. Will you join me in training this week? Let the sweat flow from our hearts and souls as we listen, learn, and do what God asks of us. |
