Happy 25th ESEF!

This year marks 25 years of the El Segundo Educational Foundation's pursuit of excellence in education for children in El Segundo public schools. Some of you were students yourself in this district; many of you have children who are; all of us are part of a community that has benefited from two and a half decades of generous support for our local schools. As we close out 2008, celebrate with us an incredible 25 years!

Raffle Prizes Help Boost Your School!

This year's Boost Your School campaign is well under way. Schools, families, and especially children stand to benefit with increased family participation. This year, when your family participates by making a contribution to the Foundation, your child's school not only has the chance to receive extra wish list items, but every $50 donation between now and January 31 enters your name in a raffle for the chance to personally win one of several gifts from local businesses and restaurants. If you haven't given yet, donations made by the end of December give you more chances to win and a year-end tax deduction!

Long-Time Corporate Partner Steps-Up Giving This Year

Things are tough all over. These days it seems the evening news has more negatives than positives to report. For months, educators across California have been told to brace for extensive mid-year cuts to make up for state budget shortfalls. In the midst of a bleak economic outlook, one corporation has stepped up to make a difference.
NRG El Segundo Power, LLC has been a generous ESEF Corporate Partner for ten years. Despite the down-turn in the economy, the company continues to support the El Segundo Educational Foundation and recently increased its annual contribution.
