Year-End Giving - There's Still Time

Along with the hustle-and-bustle of the holidays comes the last minute effort to make year-end charitable contributions that will count toward your 2006 tax deductions. You still have until December 31st to make a contribution to your favorite charities, and there are many ways to do so.

Donor Challenge: BOOST YOUR SCHOOL!!!

To encourage parent participation in its 2006-2007 Fostering Excellence in Education campaign, this year the ESEF is introducing a District-wide giving challenge known as "BOOST YOUR SCHOOL!!"

By donating to the ESEF during this new incentive program, which runs until
March 1st, ESUSD families will enable the Foundation to provide our schools with
cash awards this spring and deliver a $500,000 grant to the District in June!

Every ESUSD family is encouraged to participate because every student has the opportunity to benefit from increasing family participation in the Foundation's campaigns.

Won't you get involved?
Please accept the challenge and help BOOST YOUR SCHOOL!! Every donation over $25 qualifies. Will your child's school use the money to pay for an extra performance assembly, new instructional or PE equipment or something else on its wish list?
Generous New Owners of Occasions Host Fall SR Event

The Superintendent's Roundtable Fall Dinner held in October sparked a flurry of donations to the El Segundo Educational Foundation. More than 100 current and prospective SR members attended the private reception and dinner hosted by Occasions of El Segundo. The historic Richmond Street building provided a perfect setting for the annual SR event, which was a tremendous success judging by the pledges made that evening and in the days that followed.

Superintendent's Roundtable gifts resulting from the event have given a generous boost

New Owners of Occasions:
(L-R) Kathy & Keith Pippard and Teryl, Audrey & Stephen O'Connor
to the Foundation's fundraising efforts this year, with a record number of local residents, businesses and service clubs contributing $1,000 or more to the 2006-2007 Fostering Excellence in Education campaign.
