Superintendent's Roundtable Event

The Superintendent's Roundtable annual fall event was held on Monday, October 25, 2004. This event followed the formal dedication of the new Performing Arts building and Science Center at El Segundo High School. During the event several loyal Superintendent's Roundtable members renewed their membership, and two families became new members that night. Welcome to Peter and Pat Charland and Jerome and Francoise Crannell.

Designed to attract El Segundo residents and small businesses willing to contribute $1,000 or more per year to the El Segundo Educational Foundation (ESEF), the Superintendent's Roundtable provides the Foundation with additional means to enhance student learning in the ESUSD.

Contributions made by members of the Superintendent's Roundtable make a significant difference in the lives of young people in El Segundo. This generous level of support also sets an example for El Segundo corporations who often make their own charitable decisions based upon community participation. As of December 1, 2004, there are 90 individuals, families and small businesses that belong to the Superintendent's Roundtable. The Foundation's goal is to have 100 members by the end of June 2005.

For a monthly investment of $85 anyone can join the Superintendent's Roundtable. Members receive tickets to special Foundation events like the Evening at McCormick & Schmick's, a tee sponsorship at the Strokes of Genius Golf Tournament, and an invitation to semi-annual gatherings with Superintendent Bruce Auld to discuss educational and school district topics with top leadership of the ESUSD.
