Corporate Partners Program at an All-Time High

At the conclusion of its fourth year of existence, the ESEF's Corporate Partners giving program is at an all-time high and is on track to reach the $200,000 mark for the first time. Over the past four years approximately two dozen El Segundo area companies have consistently contributed to the ESEF with gifts ranging from $1000 to $50,000, our largest corporate gift to-date.

Corporate Partners Contributions Should Reach $200,000 in FY05 (The ESEF fiscal year ends on June 30th)

Under the leadership of then-mayor Mike Gordon, a number of area employers were encouraged to make initial contributions at the $5,000 - $10,000 level or more in support of El Segundo schools. Almost all of these corporate donors have now given for four consecutive years!

Mike later transitioned this effort to Committee Chairman Bill Fisher and Board Chairman Richard Lundquist and their able committee members who continue to make great strides in building and maintaining relationships with El Segundo area businesses. The committee includes: Sam Douglass, Al Keahi, Peter Maneri, Ed Myska, Dennis Watsabaugh, and Ron Swanson.

Since 2001, local corporations have contributed in excess of $600,000 to the El Segundo Educational Foundation. As California continues to struggle with providing adequate funding for the basic needs of its schools, ESEF's Corporate Partners provide generous support and enable the ESEF to meet the funding challenges created by the State's shortfall.

Area corporations are further inspired by the parallel growth over the last four years in the amount of support coming from the community. This powerful combination of residential support and contributions from area businesses has led to the ESEF's tremendous success in recent years.

After four years of our successful Corporate Partners program, the ESEF would like to extend our thanks to those businesses that choose to partner with us in order to make a lasting investment in El Segundo schools. A complete list of Corporate Partners since 2001 is included below.
