Foundation’s Biennial Event: GIVElSegundo Great food and wine will accompany the ever-popular silent auction and raffle drawing at the ESEF’s February 25th biennial event, now called GIVElSegundo. The event will benefit the Foundation’s Fostering Excellence in Education campaign for the current school year, with Major Event Sponsor Ron and Marylee Swanson contributing $5,000 to the cause. Guests will spend a festive evening mingling with each other, enjoying a culinary feast prepared by

the McCormick & Schmick’s chef, and bidding on a slew of unique silent auction items. The Foundation’s signature event, known to pack the house, is held every other year in February to support the ESEF’s efforts to provide supplemental funding to El Segundo’s public schools.

Three of the sought-after prizes in this year’s raffle drawing include a 14k white gold, diamond solitaire pendant from The Jewelry Source (valued at $1,290), a one week cruise for two in British Columbia, and a weekend get-away for two at the brand new San Francisco InterContinental Hotel. This trip includes dinner for two at the hotel's restaurant “Luce” and also at San Francisco’s McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant.

Event tickets ($75) and raffle tickets ($5 each or five for $20) may be purchased online. Advanced reservations will help facilitate guest check-in and the check-out process for silent auction and raffle prize winners.

The ESEF will mail event tickets purchased prior to February 20th. Tickets purchased after that date will be held at the door. Reservations and raffle tickets also may be purchased by calling the Foundation office at 310-615-2650, ext. 229.
