Trent Ricker
Chief Executive Officer
Trent brings to Pursuant over 20 years of senior management and consulting experience, with a heavy emphasis in the nonprofit sector and emerging fundraising technology. Trent currently leads Pursuant as chief executive officer, casting vision for the company while also playing a key role in business development and client service.
Trent joined Pursuant after spending over four years with Convio, a leading software provider to the nonprofit market. As vice president of account services, he led the consultative approach to serving all 1200+ nonprofit clients across Convio’s platform. Prior to that role, Trent helped create and build Convio’s fundraising consultancy and served as the principal consultant on projects serving some of the largest nonprofit organizations in the world, including the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Feeding America, Anti-Defamation League, and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Prior to joining Convio, Trent launched and led a top interactive marketing agency in Denver, Colorado. His agency won numerous awards and worked with top brands such as Apple, Sun Microsystems, and Qwest Communications. Through their foundation, his agency also served leading nonprofit organizations in the Rocky Mountain region including Denver Film Society, Junior Achievement, and Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.
Trent’s early career consisted of leading his father’s national art gallery business for ten years. As president of Michael Ricker Pewter, Trent oversaw operations of over thirty galleries across the nation as well as the production and operational facilities. His pioneering work on collector relationship management became the foundation for his constituent relationship management framework in the nonprofit sector.
Trent holds a B.S. in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management from the University of Colorado, where he graduated with honors. He lives in the Dallas area with his wife, Jana, and his two young daughters, Jordan and Hadley.
