Executive Vice President, Strategy
Curt Swindoll is the Executive Vice President for Strategy at The Pursuant Group. His career has spanned six industry sectors (Manufacturing, Technology, Banking, Nonprofit, Professional Services, and Energy), serving in or consulting functional areas as diverse as operations, sales and business development, marketing and branding, IT and software development, fundraising, consulting and board development, strategic planning, finance, client service and support, and P/R and corporate communications.
Curt’s career began in information technology with Specialty Products Company, a manufacturing company; Insight for Living, an international radio ministry; and Home Savings of America. He transitioned into fundraising and marketing when he became the Vice President of Development for Insight for Living, and served for seven years as their Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Curt formed Cool Strategies in 2001, an innovative management consulting practice where he consulted with nonprofit and for profit clients for 6 years. In 2007, he became the Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for Energy Education, a consulting firm that engages K-12 public school systems, colleges, universities, and large churches in energy conservation practices.
He joined The Pursuant Group in 2011 to drive corporate strategy for the multi-faceted fundraising firm. His responsibilities include codifying the firm’s fundraising philosophy, overseeing marketing and thought leadership, and serving on the firm’s corporate leadership team. Pursuant has been honored with numerous Telly Awards for creative excellence and was on the Inc. 500 of the fastest growing firms in America in 2009 and 2010.
In 2000, Curt completed the Presidential/Key Executive MBA program at the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. He taught for several years as an adjunct professor in BIOLA University’s Masters in Organizational Leadership program on nonprofit leadership and management issues. He regularly speaks and writes on business, leadership and fundraising issues and practices. Curt and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 30 years and reside in Dallas, Texas. They have three grown children: Ryan (Autumn), Chelsea (Andy), and Landon.
