After 30 years of experience in fundraising, Stephanie Micas joined Pursuant Ketchum to help nonprofits raise significant financial support to carry out their important work and missions. As Senior Vice President of the consulting division of the agency, Stephanie works with colleges and universities, performing and visual arts organizations, and other national nonprofits in campaign and fund development, as well as strategic and organizational planning. Her leadership studies background has allowed her to effectively address all aspects of her clients’ organizations, while also creating and implementing effective fundraising plans and strategies. Dr. Micas’ expertise includes campaign planning and management; fund development in major gifts, planned gifts, and annual funds; foundation and government grants; leadership development; and strategic planning. Her clients have included Pratt Institute (Brooklyn, NY), Community College of Allegheny County (Pittsburgh, PA), the national YWCA (Washington, D.C), Muhammad Ali Center (Louisville, KY), Boca Raton Community Hospital (Boca Raton, FL), World Soy Foundation (St. Louis, MO), Gaillard Performance Hall Foundation (Charleston, SC) and R.L. Stevenson School (Pebble Beach, CA).
Dr. Micas began her work in public education and eventually earned both her Masters and Doctorate in education from the University of Virginia. She went on to teach at the University of Richmond and was eventually appointed the Associate Dean of the Jepson School of Leadership Studies. Following her university work, Dr. Micas served as the CEO of the Arts Council of Richmond raising private funds for arts and cultural organizations, and later as a private consultant lobbying both the state and federal government for support of nonprofit organizations.
Stephanie is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). She resides in Richmond, Virginia where she lives with her husband. She has two married daughters, one who lives in Richmond and the other in Nashville, Tennessee.
