Rand E offers clients over 30 years experience in resource, organizational, and strategic development. As a specialist in nonprofit organizations and management, Rand E’s skills include campaign management, gift planning, major gift development, strategic planning, board education, executive coaching, and financial operations.
Prior to joining Pursuant Ketchum, for 16 years, Rand E led The Salvation Army’s development program in New York State. Responsible for all aspects of the comprehensive $20 million+ annual fundraising plan, he also personally specialized in distinguished giving through the integration of major and planned gifts in campaigns and special initiatives. Seventy-five (75) United Way relationships were also under his direct management, requiring ongoing volunteer management strategies and program/budget presentation skills.
For 11 years, Rand E served the American Cancer Society (ACS) in high-performance, market-focused development. As the Senior Vice President of Income Development in New York managing all aspects of capital/major gift campaigns, planned giving, and high-end events, he was selected as the initial Vice President of Major Gifts and Planned Gifts for the newly formed and leading Eastern Division of the ACS. There he developed and managed a large staff of major gift and planned giving officers, estate attorneys, and foundation relation executives in 20 regions including the Greater New York City market. Advancing to Nationwide Director for Resources and Consulting of the American Cancer Society Foundation, he led major campaigns and provided extensive training to staff and volunteers throughout the country in distinguished gift fundraising.
Among other clients, Rand E has been asked to counsel the American Dental Association; KidsPeace Inc., the leading national organization serving children in crisis; the historic and acclaimed Hill House Association in Pittsburgh; The Salvation Army; the American Cancer Society; the IAAM Foundation in Dallas, Texas; Messiah Village in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; the ARC Foundation of Monroe County in Rochester, New York; Rosemont College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania; The Florida Aquarium in Tampa Florida, Westminster College in Fulton MO, and Barry University in Miami, FL
Rand E is a Certified Fundraising Executive; a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and past member of its National Board of Directors; and a member of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, formerly The National Committee on Planned Giving. He continues to volunteer with The Salvation Army.
Rand E attended Ithaca College and the State University of New York. He earned a BS in Business and Economics. A native of Upstate New York, Rand E resides in St. Pete Beach Florida with his family and enjoys boating, golf, and outdoor grilling.
